- Shobhit is a senior Managing Director, with 17+ years of experience across various areas in risk management. Based in New York, Shobhit joined HSBC in 2023 as the US Head of Traded Risk and is currently the US Head of Traded and Treasury Risk Management. In this capacity, he heads market risk, counterparty risk, IRBB and Liquidity risk functions. He is part of the US Risk and Compliance Senior Leadership Committee, reporting into the US CRO. Prior to joining HSBC, Shobhit worked at Morgan Stanley for 15 years, covering various functions across Market Risk and ALM Risk Management. His last role there was as the Global Head of Market Risk for Credit and Securitized Products trading. He was also the Head of Market Risk for the firm’s US Broker-Dealer. Shobhit is an active member of various industry groups including Risk.net and GARP. He was most recently the lead director of the NY GARP chapter. Shobhit has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a master’s degree in Computer Science from New York University. He also cleared his Series 7 and 63 exams.
