- Revant Nayar is Principal and CIO of FMI Technologies, one of the earliest quantum-native hedge funds running systematic, mid-frequency, market-neutral strategies in U.S. equities. He oversees the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio construction, and risk management, and serves on its Investment Committee. Trained in quantum field theory at Princeton, he leads a multidisciplinary team of physicists, mathematicians, and engineers developing idiosyncratic alpha for family offices and institutional investors using first-principles, physics-inspired microstructure models that depart from conventional, crowded quant strategies. His broader research includes pioneering work on multiscale portfolio optimization, topological risk parity, and physics-based early-warning signals. He has received government grants supporting this work and presented it at Bloomberg, ELS, NYU, Stony Brook, and leading quantitative-finance conferences. He serves on the advisory boards of QuantMinds and Future Alpha, the Editorial Board of the Journal of Dynamics and Games, and holds leadership roles at SQA and ICS.
